A lab with Microsoft Office software will be utilized for this course. Computer Applications is a course that will satisfy the college entrance recommendation for an introductory computer course as well as prepare all students for the world of work. The goal of the course is to develop an understanding of the step-by-step process in information is prepared for and processed by the computer. Spreadsheets, charts, and word processing are emphasized. Popular business programs will be used such as: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Basic computer terminology is emphasized to enable the student make wise choices when purchasing his/her own computer.
